Chief Garrett Grogan reports that the Patterson Police Department responded to 7 calls for service over the last 24 hours and made the following arrest: 

Aalyiah Batiste, 25, Franklin, La, was arrested on April 28, 2026, at 9:45pm, on the charge of driving under suspension. Batiste was released to appear in Mayor's Court. 

Merrill Cormier, 50, Patterson, La, was arrested on April 29, 2026, at 12:49am, on the charges of signals by hand and arm or signal lamps, unlawful production, manufacture/distribution/or possession of hallucinogenic plants, possession of schedule I (THC gummies), possession of schedule I (marijuana), possession of schedule II (Lortabs), possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set at this time.
